Well, I just spent the past two weekends at art festivals, one in Surprise, AZ and one in Litchfield Park, AZ. While I met a lot of nice people, sold a few smaller items, I have decided that unless a show is specifically an ART WALK/SHOW, that it would not be worth all of the work to set up my booth and exhibit my work. I sat and watched vendors around me selling crafts, $5.00 items, etc. My booth was full of admirers telling me how talented I am, how beautiful my work is and how much they loved it. I did make a sale of a smaller painting, some hand painted Christmas ornaments and my calendar for 2016.
I know that in order to get your name out into the world and for people to see your work, you must exhibit in local shows. So, I will be more selective in the shows that I enter so that I am not wasting valuable time which could be better spent in my studio, creating another master piece.
