From Starving to Artist....am I there yet?

Well, I have work in several venues (HQ Gallery, Surprise City Hall, Peoria Library) and I have just entered a few more competitions which include a month or two of display in the community.  While tracking my art, delivering, picking up, etc. keep me very busy, it is not producing much income.

I have taken a job as an instructor for Grumbacher Paints at Michaels in Litchfield Park, AZ.  I love to teach and love to paint, so I believe this is going to be a fun adventure.

I am also hosting painting parties.  I have one this week for 10 girls (a birthday party).  While I am inspiring others to pursue their artistic talents, I get to paint and make money at art.  This has been a dream of mine for a few years.  I have just about given up my regular job as a Paralegal.

Tomorrow is a reception at the HQ Gallery for its 5th Annual Flower and Botanical exhibit.  I have three paintings (the maximum they would let you enter) in the exhibit.  I am hopeful that my paintings will find new owners.

Well, back to working on my website.  I can't wait until I can hire an assistant.......until then I must get back to marketing.
